SkoteFest is Camp Skote's annual outdoor festival celebrating music, camping, community, and the outdoors. Join us for a family-friendly weekend featuring live music, evening jam sessions, outdoor challenges, food vendors, workshops, and overnight camping in beautiful Lewin's Cove, Newfoundland and Labrador. More than just a music festival, SkoteFest is an opportunity to reconnect with nature, meet new people, and experience the outdoors (and the famous Newfoundland hospitality) together.
Schedule
Friday, August 28: Venue opens for arrival at 11am. Relaxed arrival and tent setup. Check in at security on arrival for wristbands and bag search. Opening remarks by Camp Skote Board Chair Heather Harrington and Board Member Matt Clarke on the stage at 5:00pm followed by BBQ supper. Community time and jam sessions at 6:00pm. Day pass visitors depart by 11pm. Quiet time at midnight.
Saturday, August 29: Overnight campers can take your time waking up. Day Pass visitors are welcome to arrive at 10am. Activities start at 11am. Enjoy food vendors, music, interactive outdoors challenges, educational workshops, and more! Live stage music starts at 2pm. Day pass visitors depart by 11pm. Quiet time at midnight.
Sunday, August 30: Closing remarks by Camp Skote Board Chair Heather Harrington and Board Member Matt Clarke at 11am. Slow pack up, clean-up, and departure. All attendees to depart by 2:00pm. Campers are expected to leave no trace.

SkoteFest 2026 is being held at the Community Field in Lewin’s Cove, a small coastal community on the beautiful Burin Peninsula in Newfoundland and Labrador, known for its friendly atmosphere, rich fishing heritage, and stunning views of Placentia Bay. Nestled among rugged shorelines and rolling hills, the town offers visitors a chance to experience the warmth and hospitality that Newfoundland outport communities are famous for. Directions
By Plane
There are three airport options. You can fly into St. Johns International Airport (YTT), Gander International Airport (YQX)., or Deer Lake Regional Airport (YDF). Both St. John's and Gander are about a 3.5 hour drive from the airport to the event venue. Deer Lake is about a 6.5 hour drive to the event venue.
Rental cars are available directly at the airports from Enterprise, National, Avis, Budget, Hertz and other providers. Vehicles are located at the terminal and can be picked up immediately upon arrival. Advance reservations are strongly recommended because rental inventory can become tight during peak tourism season.

By Ferry
Ferry transport is available through Marine Atlantic from North Sydney, NS to Argentia, NL. Transport time by ferry is 16 hours and sailings are every other day. Rates and fees are available on the Marine Atlantic website. For SkoteFest, departure from North Sydney, NS is at 17:30 NST on Wed, Aug 26 and return from Argentia, NL is at 17:00 NST on Mon, Aug 31. Space fills quickly so please book early. The venue is a 3.5 hour drive from the Argentia, NL ferry terminal.

Take World Pkwy to Portugal Cv Rd/NL-40 S. Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/NL-1 W and NL-210 W to NL-220 in Lewin's Cove.
By Car from Argentia
Follow Placentia Pike. Take the Cape Shore Hwy/NL-100 N to Argential Access Rd/NL-101 N. Get on Trans-Canada Hwy/NL-1 W from Argentia Access Rd/NL/101 N and NL-202 N. Follow Trans-Canada Hwy/NL-1 W and NL-210 W to NL-220 in Lewin's Cove.

No, Skote Fest is not pet friendly.
Will alcohol be served?
Yes, alcohol will be served inside the Beer Tent only.
Can I bring a Camper Trailer or RV?
No, we cannot handle RVs or campers on site. There are several campgrounds in the area who can accept RVs.
Is there on-site parking?
There is very little on-site parking. We will have volunteers helping to park cars and are working on a local shuttle to a nearby parking lot.
I live locally, can I just come for the day?
